+ Chicago from here to here
Linking one house to another is a gesture that imagines emergent human connections and investigates our relationship to space in urban environments. The animation of space by such a simple act as connecting two physically disparate entities by a thin thread mimics the narratives and shared histories that are constructed in our daily lives over time. In 2007 I walked 7 or 8 miles from Logan Square to Pilsen in Chicago, using string to connect my house with my friend Jamie's house.
